MCA taps into RMWB’s incredible diversity through the Multicultural Cookery sessions. These sessions run once a month with each session demonstrating and sharing a new region’s cuisine. Attendees will learn 3-4 authentic ethnic dishes while learning and sharing in a region's unique culture.
Our next cookery will be Moroccan Cuisine on Saturday June 23, 2018 from 10:00am - 1:00pm at Ecole McTavish. Come join the fun with volunteer Nadia Nabti. Remember to bring a container if you want to take some leftovers home!

The Cross Cultural Parenting Program provides parents and caregivers with practical knowledge and skills for parenting in Canada. Throughout the program we explore parent-child relationships, best practices, methods and techniques, and tools for parenting in a multicultural society. Our trained facilitators work closely with you, answering your questions, and providing tips and important information while the group offers a supportive setting to share and discuss with other parents.
The Multicultural Association of Wood Buffalo is offering a Cross Cultural Parenting Program for parents and caregivers. This program provides you with practical knowledge and skills for parenting in Canada. Throughout this program we explore parent-child relationships and the benefits as well as the challenges of living in a multicultural society.
When: Every Monday & Thursday 6:00pm-9:00pm from March 13-30, 2017

Cost: Free! Childcare is provided for free of charge but registration is required.

After School Tutoring Program
This program helps immigrant and refugee children with their English language skills, homework, and to develop study skills. Students receive after school tutoring in English writing, reading, pronunciation, and vocabulary, as well as homework help.
The program is offered completely free of charge to students in participating schools.

The Financial Literacy program is a free 8-10 week program that will give you the fundamental skills to be confident in managing your finances. Our level one program focuses on the basics of personal finances including: banking, budgeting, credit & debt, income taxes, insurance, government support programs, and investments. Level two takes participants to the next level focusing on: the concept of money and establishing your financial goals, determining your net worth, evaluating company stock and private offering, real estate investing, how to avoid fraud or scam, and internet and network marketing. The the program runs twice a year in the spring and fall. Our next session will be beginning in October 2018.
